Chris approaches every assignment with great enthusiasm, creating engaging, compelling photographs—even after being on the road for 120 days a year.

    Jill Benton

    As Senior Art Director for AOPA Pilot Jill Benton is responsible for selecting which of the thousands of photos from a shoot are seen in the magazine. She has worked for AOPA for the past 16 years, starting as an intern for the association. Jill holds a bachelor of fine arts degree with a concentration in graphic design. When photographers return from an assignment, Jill is always excited to see what they’ve captured and hear the stories behind the shoot.

    Ian Twombly

    Ian Twombly is the editor of AOPA Pilot and Flight Training. In his role he is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the association’s printed media. Ian counts photography as an essential component to making magazines an immersive experience. He has worked for AOPA for 13 years, and on the magazine staff for 9. Ian is a commercial-rated pilot and flight instructor.
